Our Solution to Finlock Concrete Gutters

Whether your concrete gutters have failed or not, the The Concrete Gutter Wizards have got you covered with our installation process carried out by our skilled fitters with decades of experience within the industry. We have Finlock guttering solutions to suit every home.

Concrete guttering replacement

Wherever possible, we start by pushing back the first two rows of tiles so we can check the state of your existing felt and offer any impartial but experienced advice on this.

Any concrete gutters that have been previously lined will then have their linings removed. Nine times out of ten, the linings have failed whether the homeowner knows it or not. Removing the linings, also, makes it easier for our fitting teams to cut the concrete.

Square style gutters have faceplates, these are removed by hand next to ensure that they do not come loose or fall when the concrete is being cut.

Some properties have an external soil pipe that runs though the concrete gutters. To ensure that this does not get in the way or get damaged we will cut this below the gutter line and install either a ventilation cap or extend the pipe around the new gutters once these have been fitted.

Next, our fitting teams will remove any existing downpipes. Sometimes, these are made of asbestos but do not worry as this is the lowest grade possible and our fitters a fully licensed and trained to handle and bag them up.

Now, our fitting teams will use a diamond tip blade on a premium angle grinder to cut the concrete blocks away one block at a time. By the time they have cut all the blocks on a side of your property away, there will just be a level surface left ready for the next step.

Our fitters, now, install a treated timber faceplate. This is helpful for the next step but, also, prevents future cold bridging.

Next, our fitting team will install a fascia board to the front of the timber faceplate and soffit to the underside. The fascia board is integral to the installation, the soffit is more for aesthetics, however, we make sure to cut this to any window reveals so that you will not experience any problems opening your windows. All the uPVC materials we use are grade A and will not warp or discolour over time.

Our fitters will then use a string or plumb line to line up where your gutters will go, putting approximately a 3mm fall over the span of 7m. This fall is barely noticeable to the eye, however, ensures adequate drainage to your downpipe. The clips will be put in place and then the gutters will be installed along with the matching downpipes.

Not many other companies use EPS, however, The Concrete Gutter Wizards do not take any kind of short cuts. We view this as an integral part of your installation. It stops moisture from getting through any gaps or tears in the felt and into your property. Instead, it helps water flow from your roof to your brand-new gutters. Not only this though, it, also, helps to ensure that the inside of your property receives the ventilation that it needs which in turn helps to dry out any existing damp.

The Concrete Gutter Wizards pay especially close attention to detail when joining to neighbours’ gutters, whether they have uPVC or concrete, as we do not want to be the cause of you falling out with your neighbours. Joining to uPVC is relatively easy, joining to concrete is harder, however, The Concrete Gutter Wizards have done extensive research on how to do this over the years of experience that we have and have now found a proven method of doing this.

Finally, our fitting team will clean down your property and make sure all the rubbish is put in a waste bag which will then be collected within 48 hours.

Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL)

This is the most popular option amongst our customers. You will have a deferral period of 12 months from the date that you agree to this finance option. You can spread the cost over these 12 months, making payments when you want, or you can wait until the very last day of your deferral period to pay the full amount without having to pay any interest.

If you go over the deferral period, then you will be put on a finance plan that charges 14% so we suggest you make the payment within the initial 12 months.

Interest Bearing

We can offer a finance package over 4,5 or 10 years with an interest rate of 10.9%.

Interest is charged on the monthly balance which means that customers have the flexibility to make overpayments as and when they wish. This will be taken straight off the balance which then reduces the outstanding amount and the interest going forward.

All finance plans are subject to status and affordability. We can, alternatively, take payment by cash, bank transfer or debit card.
